WHO WE ARE

We are a small neighborhood wine bar and bottle shop on a mission to serve our community excellent wine from unique producers. We also love properly made craft cocktails and delicious small plates, all delivered in a vibrant atmosphere with great tunes. We also have an intense love for Champagne with our “Completely Irresponsible Champagne List” representing a comprehensive Grower-Producer focussed selection.

La vie est trop courte pour boire du mauvais vin,” which is a very French way of saying “drink better wine.” At Nouvelle, we’re obsessed with this idea of better wine. To us, that’s wine that’s delicious without being too stuffy and serious. Wine for drinking. Grown, not manufactured. Wine that tells a story, made by people we’ve shaken hands and laughed with. Real wine for real people, for real. Most importantly, we believe wine without community is wasted, so let’s share it — Santé!

ABOUT THE OWNER - JOHN GRISANTI

The son of local restauranteur, Michael Grisanti, John is an obsessive epicurean with a love for hospitality that runs in the family. An avid traveler with a passion aimed at experiencing the the latest and greatest in the food and beverage world. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, where he spent two years in Napa Valley immersing himself in the wine & hospitality industry. After spending time cooking at the Michelin starred - The Breslin in New York City he decided to return home to take jump in the community. Through his years of working in the restaurant industry John has received several beverage certifications including: Certified Sommelier (Court of Master Sommeliers), WSET III (Wine & Spirts Education Trust), Champagne Master (French Wine Scholar Guild), Certified Specialist of Wine + Certified Specialist of Sprits (Certified Wine Educators), & Certified Cicerone.
